My world has always been colored by art. Growing up surrounded by painters, sculptors, and fiber enthusiasts, I instinctively gravitated toward the magic of creation. There's a deep joy in the tactile dance with clay, the meditative rhythm of weaving, and the endless possibilities of transforming raw materials into objects that hold both beauty and purpose. My aesthetic whispers of modern simple charm grounded in rustic comfort, often inspired by the subtle, soulful warmth that magnesium specks lend to my clay.

The name Sage & Sonder Studio reflects my belief that art grounds us and connects us to the world. It’s also an invitation to experience sonder—the realization that the handmade items we use and the people we pass all carry their own rich stories.

I focus on creating functional pieces because I hope that as you use them, you'll form a unique relationship with each one. Every piece is crafted by hand, infused with my own story and a lot of care. You'll begin to notice unique details—the organic speckles in the clay, slight color shifts in the glaze, or subtle changes in form. Beyond the wheel, my creative curiosity leads me down various creative paths, from needle felting, 3D modeling and printing, to traditional weaving techniques. My joy in learning and exploring these other artful domains organically inspired me to want to create and develop DIY craft kits. Like my ceramics, each kit is meticulously hand-designed and thoughtfully assembled—an invitation to slow down, to explore your own innate creativity, and to experience the pure, grounding satisfaction of creating something beautiful with your own hands, or to share that cherished experience with another.
